More Rachel pictures

Well, Rachel is 11 weeks old now. I can't believe she'll be 3 months old in just 2 weeks from today! And 2 days after that, Micah will turn SEVEN. They grow up waaaaayyyyy too fast!

Isn't she a cutie in her new dress from Grandpa and Grandma Bradley? Sorry, I couldn't pick just one to post.

Speaking of cute babies:
Our friends, the O'Briens, dedicated their son Peter in church today. He is such a sweetie and has the most contagious smile. It is so fun to watch Aaron and Amy raise Peter. I know that their desire is to raise him to be a godly man who will serve the Lord no matter what. They wrote a really neat song for his dedication based on the beginning of Luke 5. It was about the calling of Peter (in the Bible) and Jesus asking him to "Come follow me." Peter then gives up all to follow Jesus. That is certainly my hope for my children! What a blessing God gives us as parents, but what a responsibility to train our kids to "follow Him"!

A Micah Funny

Last night, after Garrett and Karissa were tucked in bed and Micah was finally finished brushing his teeth, he came out to the living room to say goodnight. When he came over to give me a kiss and hug, I thought I smelled something funny. It took me a minute to identify the smell. Then I asked, "Micah, were you playing with Daddy's deodorant in the bathroom?" He replied, "I don't know what deodorant is. Does it say, 'Right Guard'?" Matt and I were trying (not very successfully) to contain our laughter. When I informed him that he may be allergic to the fragrance in it, he told me that he had put it on the bottoms of his feet. After his feet were washed up, we sent him to bed, had a good laugh and were wishing we had a video of him saying, "I don't know what deodorant is. Does it say, 'Right Guard'?"

It doesn't sound as funny now that I've typed it out, but it was hilarious after a long tiring week. I guess we just needed a good laugh and thankfully (once he knew what he had done), Micah thought it was funny too!

2 months

It's hard to believe that Rachel is two months old already! She had her check-up today and now weighs 10 lb. 6 oz. She also had some shots today and is sleeping. So I'll have to wait until later to snap a two month picture to post.

In other big Rachel news: She slept for 7 hours last night (from about 10:00 p.m.-5:00 a.m.). Mommy appreciated the sleep!

I hate that these are out of order, but I've had requests for more pictures of Miss Rachel. So, here's one of my "little lady" on Christmas Eve.

This is the first smile I've been able to catch on film, even though Rachel has been smiling for a few weeks now. Isn't she sweet?

Although we have lots of good ones, this is one of my favorite pictures of Garrett. What a "dapper young lad"! He likes his tie!

New Year's Eve
